RESET will drive inclusive, resilient and sustainable growth by:
- Expanding access to climate and disaster finance in the Easter and Southern Caribbean (ESC) region
- Boosting investments to build resilience in the agriculture and tourism sectors
- Empowering national governments to support key sectors
- Create new and innovative approaches to allow the private sector to access finance to support the growth of the blue and green economies of the ESC
- Providing grants to micro and small businesses to scale climate-smart solutions
- Building partnerships and capacity of youth and vulnerable communities to make them resilient to climate shocks
- Building partnerships and training youth & vulnerable communities for a more resilient tomorrow
The implementation of RESET is being led by Abt Global. Meet RESET’s Chief of Party, Patricia Shako
“I am a Climate and Disaster Resilience Specialist, who has worked in the Eastern Caribbean for over 20 years. I am the newly appointed Chief of Party for the Caribbean Resilient Economies and Sectors (RESET) Activity, a USAID-funded initiative working in 11 Eastern Caribbean nations. I have worked at the World Bank, IDB, CDB and UK’s FCDO (DFID). I hold an MSc. in Natural Resource Economics and an MBA in Finance. My expertise primarily lies in the financial analysis of major public infrastructure projects and the reform of systems and policies to enhance resilience”.
